Make room for alcohol-free choices
A group plan should work for guests with different preferences.
Ask what is available
Check the current menu directly rather than assuming a particular drink is stocked. Ask for ingredients if a guest needs specific information; a drink name alone may not describe everything in it.
Keep the choice easy
Include non-alcoholic options in the same planning message as food and seating. Do not require anyone to explain why they choose one. Avoid making the group’s plan depend on a drinking package.
Arrange the journey home
Agree on a safe return plan in advance. Do not drive after drinking. A relaxed social evening does not require alcohol, and this publication does not promote excessive consumption.
